A three-day tour allows you to experience far more of Ireland than a single day trip, without feeling rushed. Travelling at a relaxed pace, you'll have time to explore medieval towns, historic castles, scenic mountain passes and charming villages while enjoying the comfort of your own private chauffeur throughout the journey.

Unlike larger group tours that follow fixed schedules, this itinerary offers the flexibility to adapt the day where practical. Spend longer at a favourite location, stop for photographs along a scenic route, or enjoy a leisurely lunch without watching the clock. Your chauffeur manages the driving, navigation and daily logistics, allowing you to relax and enjoy the experience from the moment you leave Dublin until your return three days later.

Every journey is tailored around the people travelling, not the other way around. Whether you're interested in Ireland's history, spectacular landscapes, local food or simply taking in the scenery, the tour can be adjusted to suit your interests while still covering the highlights of Southern Ireland.

Day One – Dublin to Killarney

Kilkenny Castle and the Medieval Mile

The first stop on your journey is the medieval city of Kilkenny, home to one of Ireland's finest Norman castles and a beautifully preserved historic centre. Overlooking the River Nore, Kilkenny Castle has stood for more than 800 years and offers a fascinating insight into Ireland's rich history and architectural heritage.

From the castle, take time to explore the Medieval Mile, where narrow streets, historic buildings, independent shops and traditional Irish pubs create a welcoming atmosphere.

Kilkenny is also my preferred lunch stop on the tour, offering an excellent choice of cafés, traditional Irish pubs and local restaurants where you can relax before continuing south towards County Tipperary.

Rock of Cashel and Cahir Castle

Continuing through County Tipperary, the tour visits the magnificent Rock of Cashel, one of Ireland's most iconic historic sites. Once the seat of the Kings of Munster, this spectacular hilltop complex is home to medieval churches, a round tower and centuries of Irish history, all set against panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

A short drive brings you to nearby Cahir Castle, one of the best-preserved castles in Ireland. Standing proudly on the banks of the River Suir, its impressive towers, defensive walls and riverside setting provide another fascinating glimpse into Ireland's medieval past before the journey continues south towards Killarney.

Swiss Cottage and Arrival in Killarney

The final stop of the day is the charming Swiss Cottage, a beautifully restored Regency cottage nestled beside the River Suir. Surrounded by peaceful woodland and riverside gardens, it offers a quieter contrast to the castles visited earlier and is often considered one of County Tipperary's hidden gems.

From here, the journey continues southwest through the Irish countryside to Killarney, where you'll check into your accommodation for a two-night stay. With the day's sightseeing complete, you'll have the evening free to explore the town, enjoy dinner at one of Killarney's many excellent restaurants, or simply relax ahead of your Ring of Kerry tour the following morning.

Day Two – Ring of Kerry

Discover some of Irelands Most Visited Landmarks

After breakfast, you'll set out to explore the world-famous Ring of Kerry, one of Ireland's most scenic touring routes. Winding through mountain passes, coastal roads, colourful villages and dramatic Atlantic landscapes, the day offers an ever-changing journey through the heart of County Kerry.

With a private chauffeur, there's time to enjoy each stop, pause for photographs and experience the route at a relaxed pace before returning to Killarney for your second overnight stay.

Killarney National Park

The day begins in Killarney National Park, Ireland's oldest national park and one of the country's most spectacular natural landscapes. Covering mountains, ancient woodland and peaceful lakes, it provides the perfect introduction to the beauty of the Ring of Kerry.

Your journey includes visits to the picturesque Torc Waterfall and the renowned viewpoints at Ladies View and Moll's Gap, where sweeping panoramas stretch across the Lakes of Killarney and the surrounding mountains. Travelling with a private chauffeur allows time to stop, take photographs and simply enjoy the scenery before continuing along the Ring of Kerry.

Villages, Coastlines and Kerry Cliffs

Leaving the mountains behind, the tour continues through some of County Kerry's most picturesque towns and coastal villages. Passing through Kenmare, Sneem and Waterville, you'll experience colourful streets, traditional Irish character and spectacular Atlantic views, with opportunities to stop and explore along the way.

Lunch is usually enjoyed in either Sneem or Waterville, where you'll find a selection of welcoming cafés, restaurants and traditional pubs overlooking the surrounding countryside or coastline. Later in the day, the route continues to the dramatic Kerry Cliffs, offering breathtaking views across the Atlantic Ocean, before a final stop at Rossbeigh Beach and a relaxed return to Killarney for your second overnight stay.

Adare and Blarney Castle

The first stop on the return journey is the picturesque village of Adare, widely regarded as one of Ireland's prettiest villages. With its thatched cottages, historic buildings and welcoming atmosphere, it's the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely stroll and a morning coffee before continuing the journey.

From Adare, the tour continues to the famous Blarney Castle, one of Ireland's most visited historic attractions. Explore the impressive castle, wander through the beautiful gardens and, if you wish, climb to the top to kiss the legendary Blarney Stone.

Lunch is usually enjoyed in nearby Blarney Village, where you'll find a choice of cafés, restaurants and traditional Irish pubs before beginning the final drive back to Dublin.

Return Journey to Dublin

Following lunch in Blarney Village, sit back and enjoy a relaxed journey back to Dublin as the Irish countryside gradually gives way to the capital. Depending on traffic and the length of your stops throughout the day, you'll typically arrive back at your accommodation between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

The return journey provides time to reflect on three days spent exploring Ireland's medieval history, spectacular scenery and charming towns, bringing your private tour to a comfortable and memorable close with drop-off at your Dublin hotel or agreed location.
